Renaissance Academy, a public K-9 Charter school in Lehi, Utah is seeking experienced applicants for a part-time, possibly full-time, Arabic instructor for an expanding World Language program.

Qualified applicants should meet the following criteria:

COMMITTED TO:

- Conducting classes 95-100% of the time in the target language.

- Incorporation of Arabic culture, customs, traditions, practices, and perspectives into curriculum and activities.

DEMONSTRATE:

- Intermediate/Advanced level (per ACTFL scale) of oral and written proficiency in Arabic.

- High level of English fluency, both oral and written.

- Experience with development of Arabic language curriculum and assessment.

- Ability to teach across multiple grade levels (K-9), with special emphasis on K-5.

PROFESSIONALISM:

- A minimum 2 years experience teaching elementary age children (K-5), or background in elementary education.

- Be a team player, able to share ideas, materials, and contribute time and effort towards group projects and events.

- Experience living and studying abroad or in immersion settings a plus.

- Prior participation in language conferences, trainings or affiliation with professional language organizations preferred but not required.
