Legal Assistant/Secretary (Las Vegas, Nevada)

We are a growing and busy law firm looking for an experienced and professional legal assistant/secretary.

<br>
The Legal Assistant/Secretary will provide legal assistance to two attorneys: general administrative and legal secretary functions.
<br>

<br>
Specific Duties:
<br>
Assist in drafting probate and trust administration pleadings and related documents, corporate documents, deeds, trusts, wills and estate planning documents; Maintain and organize client files; Maintain monthly corporate filings with Nevada Secretary of State; Greet clients and answering phone, directing calls and taking detailed messages; Schedule client appointments and track court appearance dates and court document due dates; Public Notary; Traffic Citation Resolution Duties – overview client file processing with applicable courts; All other duties as assigned by attorneys.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
<br>
3-5 years of experience in private law practice is required; 2-4 years drafting probate and trust administration documents is preferred.
<br>
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associates Degree or higher education degree is preferred. Paralegal certification a plus.
<br>

<br>
Specific Required Skills:
<br>
Proficient with the following: Microsoft Office applications -Word, Excel, Entourage – Email/Calendaring for Apple; Time Matters; Electronic court filings; Customer Service experience, excellent telephone skills required; Ability to communicate proficiently in English - verbally and in writing, proofreading skills. Mature, dependable with proven skills in legal office administration; Strong attention to detail; must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Agreeable to adjusting work schedule when needed; Self-motivated, Adobe Acrobat; Apple OS X.

As part of the interview process, be prepared for testing of your general office skills including office equipment, essential software programs and job related problem solving
