Nevada National Guard- Student Loan Repayment Program

College graduates and current college students can enlist into the Nevada National Guard and receive benefits from the Student Loan Repayment Program.

The Student Loan Repayment Program pays off existing student loans up to $50,000 as well as student loans acquired after enlisting.

The Nevada National Guard has a lot of different options for you to choose from. You can enlist into one of our many career fields to include:

Multi channel transmission operator

Information systems operator

Water purification specialist

Mechanic

Quartermaster and chemical equipment repairer

And much more

You may also enlist into our Officer Candidate School option. To be eligible for this option you must have 60 college credits. The National Guard is in need of officers so this may be the option for you. You will attend basic training followed by officer candidate school after which you will be commissioned as a second Lieutenant.

Serve in the Nevada National Guard part time, one weekend a month, two weeks in the summer (minimal requirement). There are also full time opportunities available.

Minimum qualifications:

• Age 17 to 35 years old
• U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
• CLEAN criminal background (NO felony convictions, NO domestic violence)
• Must meet physical and mental requirements of the United States Army.
