Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Studio Manager position.
The position description is as follows:
This role contributes to the overall financial success of the company by designing and directing the development of
competitive casino games.
Position Responsibilities
The Studio Manager manages a team consisting of a Game Production Coordinator, Artists, Animators,
Mathematicians, Programmers, Audio Engineer, and Quality Assurance. The Studio Manager is responsible for the
overall game design, development, quality and detailed direction for each discipline in the studio. This includes
identifying the game play characteristics and player experiences for the casino games, such as math and complete
theme design. The Studio Manager is responsible for maintaining the schedule that meets business needs according
to the Product Roadmap. The Studio Manager is also responsible for supporting the deployment and on-going
product lifecycle.
Specific Accountabilities
1. Work with Sales and Market Research to design game characteristics that exceed market expectations.
2. Actively research competitive games and products.
3. Identify and design next-generation products and game concepts.
4. Define and direct game play experience.
5. Management of Studio personnel.
6. Schedule management to ensure on-time delivery of games.
7. Review game performance to identify product improvements.
8. Review Studio processes and identify any improvements.
Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and have strong working relationships within
all levels of the organization.
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
4. Professional, self-starter and motivated individual.
5. Knowledge of game development processes.
6. Preferably familiar with casino games.
Education and Experience
1. Post-secondary diploma or degree.
2. A minimum of 7 years experience in game development, preferrably in the gaming industry.
3. Experience can be used in lieu of education, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
